Pentax Auto Extension tubes allow for a shorter minimum focusing distance with Pentax 6x7 lenses. These extension tubes are usually employed for macro photography. By mounting between the lens and camera body, extension tubes reduce the minimum focusing distance of mounted lenses, allowing for greater macro magnification. Auto extension tubes, such as this set, preserve full aperture function of mounted lenses and allow for TTL metering when using the metered prism.
This set of extension tubes is usually found as a 3-part kit, with tubes 1, 2 and 3 providing the following extension:
- Tube 1 = 14mm extension
- Tube 2 = 28mm extension
- Tube 3 = 56mm extension
